There are many stakeholders we work with when Tackling Domestic Abuse where we help make positive changes on the community, families, local authorities and PCC’s. We ensure that we provide a wide range of support such as services in domestic abuse, family support, group work and 1-1 sessions, preventative work and integrated safety services.
We have many of our services tailored towards men as we know that statistically, this is where domestic abuse occurs the most; however, we also extend our services to also assist women and LGBTQ+ members in rehabilitation as we know that this does not just occur with men.
In order to tackle the issue of domestic violence and abuse, RISE are committed to delivering programmes with the aim of prevention as opposed to cure.
Our interventions, delivered by expert facilitators, aim to raise awareness and build knowledge and empathy whilst challenging potentially damaging attitudes and beliefs which could lead to abusive or violent behaviours in the future.
We work with children and young people, and their families, in a multi-agency approach to provide early intervention and specialist programmes. We are developing resilience in children and young people living with domestic abuse.
Our services include providing tailored, specialist support to meet the holistic needs of children and young people (aged 11-24) who are impacted by domestic abuse in the home. This includes therapeutic interventions, including trauma-focused Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and trauma-focused group work and resilience sessions. We also deliver Child and Adolescent to Parent Violence (CAPV) programmes, working with the child, parent(s), siblings, schools, children’s social care and early intervention teams, and programmes for children and young people who recognise they are abusive in their relationships, helping them change their behaviour.
Training and Consultancy
Our training courses have been developed from our experience in offender rehabilitation and supporting people with complex needs. The courses are especially designed for anyone working in the voluntary or community sectors, such as professionals working with perpetrators or victims of domestic violence or young people, as well as staff (from any sector) who provide front line support to the general public.
We can also assess your training needs and develop tailor-made courses.
